The present general and specific sales conditions apply to all confirmed reservations.
These conditions are stated on the website www.dafthotel.be, and are thus sufficiently communicated.
The customer acknowledges having read and accepted the present general sales conditions and those relating to the reservation price.

Check-in and Check-out
Rooms are available from 3:00 PM on the day of arrival and must be vacated no later than 11:00 AM on the day of departure. Depending on room availability, additional charges may apply if the guest departs late. If the guest leaves the hotel before the scheduled departure date, the total price of the reservation will be charged and no refund will be given.

Confirmation and Deposit
To guarantee your reservation, a valid credit card number will be requested. In addition, a deposit may be required before the start of your stay. If you do not show up, the hotel reserves the right to charge your credit card.
Every invoice must be paid upon the guest’s departure from the hotel. Unpaid invoices will be increased by a surcharge of 10% of the total amount, with a minimum of € 50. An interest for late payment of 1% per month will be charged automatically and without prior notice, until the full invoice amount has been paid.

Vouchers
Valid on rooms and wellness, not applicable to tourist tax, special arrangements, meals or drinks, non-refundable, must be used at once.

Cancellation
The customer may terminate the contract at any time, subject to payment of compensation to Daft Hotel / Another Sound for the damage suffered by the cancellation in accordance with the following terms:

For individual reservations:

  • If your reservation has a non-refundable rate, cancellation at any time will be charged 100%.
  • More than 2 days before arrival: free cancellation.
  • Less than 2 days before arrival: 100%.

If the reservation of the individual customer or Daft Hotel / Another Sound cannot take place due to travel guidelines and social distancing advice from the Belgian Federal Public Service (FPS), the World Health Organization, or other similar authorities, the customer and/or the hotel reserves the right to cancel free of charge. The above only applies if force majeure is declared by the Belgian government or the customer’s country of residence and travel is prohibited. If there is no travel ban, force majeure cannot be invoked.

For group reservations (4 rooms or more):

  • Non refundable rate: cancellation will be charged 100% at any time
  • Refundable rate:
    • More than 42 days before arrival: 50%.
    • Between 42 days (inclusive) and 28 days (inclusive) before arrival: 60%.
    • Between 28 days (inclusive) and 2 days (inclusive) before arrival: 90%.
    • Less than 2 days (inclusive) before arrival: 100%.

If the group reservation of the customer or Daft Hotel / Another Sound cannot take place due to travel guidelines and social distancing advice from the Belgian Federal Public Service (FPS), the World Health Organization, or other similar authorities, the customer and/or the hotel reserves the right to postpone the reservation to an alternative date of equal or greater value within 12 months of the original booking date without penalty. The above only applies if force majeure is declared by the Belgian government or the customer’s country of residence and travel is prohibited. If there is no travel ban, force majeure cannot be invoked.

Damages and Violations
Any damages caused by the customer in the hotel will be charged to the customer.

The hotel disclaims all liability in case of theft, loss of property, parking issues, or any other incident not directly related to the hotel.

We remind you that Belgium has a strict smoking ban in public places. This ban applies in the rooms as well as throughout the hotel, except in designated areas. If you violate this rule, a fine may be imposed.

Pets are not allowed in the hotel.

If any of our general sales conditions are not respected, the responsible staff and management reserve the right to require you to leave the hotel. In cases of drunkenness, aggressive or inappropriate behavior, or inappropriate clothing, access to the hotel may also be denied.

All disputes arising from the attached conditions will be handled exclusively by the court of the Verviers district.
